May Newsletter

Dear Friends & Prayer Warriors,

Although Summer has not officially begun according to the calendar dates, it sure does feel like it with the heat that we're having.  We trust you are doing well and staying as cool as possible.  We have had a very eventful month of May, but with only one revival.
On May 6-9, we led the worship for the revival services at Crystal Ridge Baptist Church in Louisville, MS.  This was our first opportunity to be at Crystal Ridge and what a sweet fellowship they have there.  Their pastor, Bro. Ed Newman, invited us to be a part of their revival this year.  The guest speaker for the week was Dr. Paul Blanchard.  It's been several years since we've had the opportunity to be with Bro. Paul.  It was such a blessing to hear him preach once again.
It is with great sadness yet with great joy that I write this newsletter.  On April 24 my dad, Mervyn E. Carver, had a severe stroke which led to his death on May 8, 2018.  We are sad to no longer have him with us but glad in knowing that he now has a new body with no more pain or suffering.  Plus, he is now with our mother and more importantly our Jesus.  In my opinion, no greater man aside from Jesus has ever walked on this earth than that of my Dad.  He was a Godly man through and through.  He lived the word every day of his saved life.  He was my hero and I will miss him greatly.  But because of my relationship with Jesus, I know that I will see him again.  I pray that you can say the same about your loved ones.

We also celebrated Mother's Day and Chloe's 11th birthday in the month of May.  We took the kids to the Memphis Zoo for Chloe's birthday.
Please continue to keep us in your prayers as our summer is really beginning to pick up.  May God continue to bless you all.

    In His Service,
    Steve & Becky Carver
