June Newsletter 2017

Dear Friends & Prayer Warriors,

We are in the midst of summer and has it ever been a busy one for the personal lives of the Carver crew.  June 7-9 Chloe attended Camp Garaywa in Clinton, MS.  It was a mini-overnight camp for girls.

After taking the girls from our church to camp and picking them up on Friday, we dropped the kids off in Birmingham, AL to stay with my best friend in Franklin, TN for their annual "Carver Camp".  Michelle and her parents were on their way back through from Florida.  The girls attended Vacation Bible School at Brentwood Baptist with over 1000 students.  The boys helped John, Patsy and Michelle with some home projects.  Michelle took the kids to the pool, Above All - a trampoline place, and a few places out to eat.

While they were at Carver Camp, Steve took me to Peaceful Oaks bed and breakfast in Jackson, TN.  We had an enjoyable three day get away as well.  We played putt putt golf, shopped and dined out a few times.  We drove to Franklin on Saturday and picked up the kids.

June 4, 11, 18 we led music at our home church, Kilmichael Baptist.  June 19-22 was Vacation Bible School at our home church.  I was a helper for the 3rd-4th grades.  Steve and Christian helped with sound and media, and Caleb helped with games.

On June 24 Steve videotaped the wedding of Sara Taylor Goss and Bailey Lott in Carrollton, MS at the Cotesworth House.

June 25, 27-28 we led worship for revival at Macedonia Baptist in Louisville, MS.  Bro. Wayne Hudson was the visiting evangelist for the week.  It is always such a blessing to serve alongside Bro. Wayne.  We appreciate the pastor, Bro. Larry Odom for inviting us.  On that Sunday Christian led worship at our church.  We are thankful for the opportunities the Lord has given him to minister as well.

As you will notice, we were not at the revival on Monday, June 26.  We drove to Franklin, TN on Sunday night after church.  On Monday Steve and I took the boys to Camp Electric, a music camp for 13-19 year olds put on by Toby Mac at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville.  We are so thankful for that wonderful opportunity for them.  They raised money through two concerts, one at our church and one at Fellowship Baptist Church in Starkville.  A huge THANK YOU to those churches for allowing them the opportunity.  Several individuals as well as New Montpelier Baptist Church in Montpelier, MS gave them a love gift.

Thank you for your continued interest and support of One Way Ministries.  We love you.

    In His Service,
    Steve & Becky Carver
